I am an Accredited BACP Person-Centred Counsellor and qualified Wellbeing Therapist. I have over 10+ years counselling and therapy experience and I live and work on the edge of East Leake supporting people in various ways.
My job is extremely varied which I enjoy and involves working with a full range of clients: the Met Police, Professionals, Employment Assistant Programme (EAP), BUPA and Private clients using a Person-Centred Solution focused approach as well as individuals wishing to access therapies and the word is spreading…!
My inspiration over the years has come from these leading people:
I see life as a journey of discovery and it is the relationship we build with ourselves that matters. Sadly people who over give or ‘people please’ and don’t balance their needs too become unstuck. In a nutshell, YOU do matter and we need to nurture this. As a reflective practitioner I often encourage clients to keep a daily log each day. This powerful exercise is used in part of the A.A. recovery programme and whilst most of my clients aren’t alcoholics this 10/15 minute exercise is very powerful when done daily, it helps focus the mind, reminds us what we have achieved and helps us to set some attainable goals. This task helps to keep us focused and helps identify what it is we are needing and what needs to change. Life is fluid and forward moving, be kind on yourself, no one is perfect.
